Al Cannistras insight:
quote: “Before you assist others, always put your oxygen mask on first.” IMO - maybe the message also applies to our very generous American way of life. But if we are to be in a position to help others in the future we need to make sure we are not falling apart ourselves - ya think? . . |
GE – LET THEM DO IT…. It was my privilege to work many years for a company that had a rich history in AMERICAN manufacturing. What I am sharing here is from WW2 (before my time thank you) but shared by folks that lived it. The primary plant in Chicago was converted to support the WAR EFFORT – munitions I believe – it used to make things for the kitchen – like can openers – we made millions of them, maybe more than anyone in the world. But there was a WAR to fight. We were AMERICAN. (This is the company story: https://www.madeinchicagomuseum.com/single-post/ekco-products-co Search term in the article “war years”)
GE – if your good folks want to build ventilators – LET THEM BUILD VENTILATORS – We ARE AMERICANS fighting a war 2020
