20 Groceries Driving Up Your Food Bill the Most

20 Groceries Driving Up Your Food Bill the Most | INTELLIGENT WORLD TODAY | Scoop.it

The price of all food has risen 26.8% over the past 10 years

Al Cannistra's insight:

an unlikely article for this category - and an article not really written for the purpose I am using it - HOWEVER...  if you are a regular follower here, Facebook, or Twitter - you know AI am 100% in favor in a $15 minimum wage. (and usually that starts trouble on Facebook with those who oppose) - so scan this article - prices at the grocery store and tell us all why you are comfortable and deny that we should pay hard working folks enough to buy food - instead of giving them cards to go shopping for food to live

The U.S. Minimum Wage in the Year You Were Born

The U.S. Minimum Wage in the Year You Were Born | INTELLIGENT WORLD TODAY | Scoop.it
See how the minimum wage has changed over the years.
Al Cannistra's insight:

OPEN TO DISCUSSION - regular followers know that I am an advocate of $15 MIN WAGE...   the USA has done a horrible job of keeping up with the times and has taken advantage of the poor - it is time to change that....

before you comment - have a look at this article - 1956 thru 1981 and then compare to the years after that...

there are many social reasons to pay people a living wage yet there are those nicely comfortable who are in denial...

bring it on....
